Places and Events in Williamson County, Texas

This page is a collection of links to towns, churches, cemeteries, communities, creeks, lakes, forts, geographic locations, events, railroads, print media sources, battles, prehistory  for which I have identified printed information.

Information for this page comes primarily from two sources.  The first source is the New Handbook of Texas which is the online version of the Handbook of Texas.  This is a joint project of The General Libraries at the University of Texas at Austin and the Texas State Historical Association.  I culled this fabulous resource for information relevant to Williamson County and then added links to each of those entries.  Secondly, I reviewed the text from more than 50 of the county's historical markers and referenced each place below.  The link will refer you to the marker's entire text, which appears at this web sites.
